TomKat Prenup Something to Sing About

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 26, 2006

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (a.k.a. TomKat) have reportedly signed their prenuptial agreement, which may stop fans from bombarding them with copies of Jesse Goldberg’s pertinent song “Prenuptial Agreement.”

Both TomKat and Goldberg fans can appreciate the song’s lyrics including: “On pg. 3, clause 14a, it says you give your rights away. Don’t listen to what your lawyers say, just sign this pre-nuptial agreement.” and “This house is not a home when I’m here all alone. But if you ever go, it’s still worth a lot of dough.”

Nashville musician and writer Jesse Goldberg, also a licensed lawyer, is proud to have his comedy labeled as an equal opportunity offender. Besides the prenuptial song, Jesse’s “Solid Goldberg” album also includes fan favorites, such as “I Used to Be a Liberal” and “Southern Baptist Jew.”

Lucky Nashville fans can see Jesse weekly on three area television shows, “Mind Your Own Music Business,” “The Songwriter’s Show,” and “Common Law.” Details of these programs can be found at www.jessegolderb.com.

Jesse’s website also features three comedy CDs "My Name Is Goldberg,""Solid Goldberg," and "Nuts Over Nashville," as well as “It’s a Ruff Life,” his musical play about life from a dog’s perspective.

By the way, the TomKat prenuptial is said to grant Holmes $ 3 million a year for each year that she is married to Cruise, up to a maximum of $ 33 million, as well as a home in Montecito, CA. If the marriage fails after more than eleven years, Holmes will be entitled to half of all of Cruise’s assets under California property law.

About Jesse Goldberg

Jesse Goldberg is one of Nashville’s dynamic treasures. He’s an award-winning writer, producer, and performer, who is also licensed to practice law in four states. Jesse’s claims to fame include a cable TV Ace Award for producing a Showtime music video for the Lost Episodes of The Honeymooners called “It’s Honeymooner Time,” as well as being a frequent contributor to the nationally syndicated comedy music radio show Dr. Demento. Jesse also co-wrote a new musical comedy with Gene Levine entitled "It's A Ruff Life” which features a dog's eye view of the world with a cast of dog characters.

Question by I'm Not Racist, But...: What do you think about Al Gore just buying an 8 MILLION dollar home?! Isn't it a waste of carbon?!?
This is outrageous! The man jet-sets around the world telling us plebs to stop being selfish and turn off our lights at night...yet he just bought an 8 million dollar mansion in Italy?!

How can he justify this?! Should he be allowed to do this?! What about all the carbon he is wasting?!

Q&A: Do you think Al Gore is sitting in his new $9M oceanfront beach house worried about the environment?

Question by Patriotgal: Do you think Al Gore is sitting in his new M oceanfront beach house worried about the environment?
From the April 28 Los Angeles Times:

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have added a Montecito-area property to their real estate holdings, reports the Montecito Journal.

The couple spent ,875,000 on an ocean-view villa on 1.5 acres with a swimming pool, spa and fountains, a real estate source familiar with the deal confirms. The Italian-style house has six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

I guess those rising sea levels of which Gore cries havoc is not so inconvenient a truth to dissuade him from buying oceanfront.

Question by ♫ Yayz!: Has there been any news about "Stargirl"?
Montecito Picture Company is making a movie based off the book by Jerry Spinelli.
It's said to be released in 2009,this year.

But,has there been any news about it other then that?
Any trailers,posters,articles,anything?
Movies are almost never half as good as the books, same with live action movies based on anime/video games.

Best answer:

Answer by abby
no. it's probably still in pre-production, like they're probably still writing the script.
idk how it'll go though.
the movie won't be nearly as well written as they book.
i hope they don't go through with it, and just leave the book to be enjoyed.

Did anyone just read the scary headlines about infant car seats 10 out of 12 most popular failing crash tests?

Question by jc2006: Did anyone just read the scary headlines about infant car seats 10 out of 12 most popular failing crash tests?
I use the Chicco key fit which they are now saying only use with a seatbelt, not the base. Luckily my daughter will have a new car seat by tomorrow since she has outgrown hers anyway. I can't find any safety ratings about the Eddie Bauer Montecito or any stage two car seats or convertible seats. Anyone know of any good websites outside of national safety and traffic admin.
The tests that were done were using both the latch system and the seatbelt. Some of the carseats didn't stay attached to the bases, so it doesn't matter how the base is attached. The gov't only tests front crash not sides, so the study probably has some validity to it. Basically the argument is that Europe's standards are higher and the US does not set a high enough standard for safety. (35 miles an hour is nothing. If most car seats don't pass that then there truly is a problem here.

Isn't it funny though how the only 2 that passed happen to be the 2 most expensive on the market. Maybe you should checl out who funded that study? You'll be surprised at the relation!

Question by BSL is the *pits*: How would you feel about pet shop owners switching from mill/BYB pups to rescue/shelter pups only? See link...?
I think this is a really cool story and a step in the right direction. What say you?

Best answer:

Answer by Elyssa
I think it's teriffic! I mean, those pups need a home. They were probably kicked out and abused by their old owners. It's actually better to adopted animals though. That's my opinion.
